Review Policy

Book Recommendations accepts review requests of novella and novel length in Urban Fantasy, Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, and various subgenres of Romance ( Except Inspirational Romance). I accept requests from both authors and publishers.


While I try to post ARC reviews 1-2 weeks before their release dates, sometimes there are delays. So please give me a 6 weeks time frame to post the review.

Preferred Formats:

While I accept paper ARC, I prefer e-ARCS, in preferrably in mobi or epub. (If I get an review request and the book is in pdf I will decline it, since my e-reader cannot re-flow pdfs. )


I DO NOT
- Write reviews of books I DNF, and I don't send notifications of DNF:d ARCs
- accept requests for short stories, unless the request is for several interlinked short stories.
- accept self published e-books by authors I have not read and reviewed before.
- reply to your request if I don't have time and / or you haven't read the review policy.

My reviews are my opinions, which means that sometimes I will post critical reviews.

A(+/-): Awesome
B(+/-): Really good
C(+/-): Good, but some issues
D( +/-): Meh
DNF:   The DNF books rarely ends up as full reviews, but in occasionally in my What I am reading posts.
